Spud: 37 weeks

Tuesday, May 31, 2016
I'm having so much trouble focusing. I attribute this to an extreme lack of sleep due to pregnancy insomnia, an active night time baby, swollen feet, a snoring puppy, and heartburn so bad that I'll catch it playing a starring role in my dream.

I am not nervous or worried per se, however I run scenarios over and over in my mind. Will baby be early like Claire or late? Will my water break like last time? Will it break somewhere embarrassing? Will Claire try to throw the new baby like she did to her baby doll tonight?

Roma is following me around and everytime I look at her she is staring me down. Something like this...

She. Knows.

Can you believe that a little tiny baby who smiles while sleeping...

Turns into a little animated talker 2 short years later...

Cousin Love

Monday, May 30, 2016
We are so fortunate to have cousins in the same state, even if we wished they lived closer than Del Rio. One day!

Who would have thought there would be so many girls girls girls... with one more on the way?!

Here are some pictures of Claire and Madison playing "Ready, Set, Go" in our foyer after breakfast :)

Reminisce

Wednesday, May 25, 2016
I went back to look at Newborn Baby Claire pictures to remind myself what we're about to get ourselves into very very soon.

Oh my, oh my!

On another note, have you heard that heartburn has a correlation to the amount of hair baby is born with? I heard that for the first time a few days ago. If this is true, then this baby is going to have a lot of hair!

Spud Check Up

Tuesday, May 24, 2016
We had our big 36 week check-up today and I'm so thankful to report that things look normal!

The biggest reason they do a 36 week ultrasound is to check that baby has moved into the right "head down" position. We got to see a visual of Baby Girl which we hadn't seen since week 20, so it was quite reassuring. She is fairly cramped inside my belly now, without much room to move around. However, during the ultrasound she was moving all over the place and covering her face with her little hands so no pictures for us.

They told us Baby Girl was in the 60th percentile for size, the weight estimate being 6 lb 11oz. The tech told us that baby had a larger head and we said that was right on par- that's the "Huebel Head", lots of brain cells :)

The doctor reiterated that there's no way to know when baby might arrive. Since Claire came at 38 weeks and 5 days, I'm hoping Baby #2 makes it at least that long. But I don't really get a say in the matter! FYI a full term baby is considered >38 weeks.

We are feeling thankful that the check-up went well today and look forward to meeting this little girl!

Spud: 36 weeks

Monday, May 23, 2016
Things are getting very real now. I had my first wave of anxiety and unpreparedness. I'm planning on working until baby comes and I have a fear of my water breaking while at work... in a skyrise downtown. I keep telling myself it's all going to work out. Afterall, this time Mommy is a whole lot closer than she was during the last Anchorage delivery.

But when is baby going to make an entrance?!?

Bathroom Bump.

Here are some cute kid pictures from a couple weeks ago when the Honas's made a visit to Houston. Smiles (and M&M's)!

Let's see, Bronson is going to be 4 in August, Carolyn will be 2 in August, Claire will be 2.5 in August, and new baby will be 3 months in August :)

Next move is all yours Honas's!

Swimming Lessons

Wednesday, May 18, 2016
We had a hiatus from swim lessons for a few weeks due to weather and visitors but now we're back at it. Momma does the first half and Daddy does the second half of lesson time. I especially like the zero g's feeling of my pregnant belly in the pool. We were in a different pool this time and it wasn't heated so it was chilly getting in.

Claire is learning how to blow bubbles, kick, and float on her back. She's comfortable sitting on the side of the pool and pushing off into Mom or Dad's arms now. That is not where we started swim lessons, so major improvement!

Spud: 35 weeks

Tuesday, May 17, 2016
A little baby is going to be meeting us in a few short weeks! Baby Girl is practicing her hiccups right now, getting ready for the big debut. We will find out next week if little one has assumed the head down position. I'm really hoping so!

Here's some bathroom bump selfies.

Whole foods with Claire

Monday, May 16, 2016
It was our first foray into the mini kids shopping cart world.  Claire only jammed into the back of my feet 5 times, so she must be a natural. It is always an adventure with this one! She was running so much with the cart I told her "no running" and she was then repeating that to me the rest of our excursion. Until she saw daddy across the store, "Daddy!!!!" and she took off running.

She added cinnamon graham crackers and "heart" cereal (aka Kashi) to the cart. "Momma, need this"

Things may have gone slower at the grocery, but it was certainly more entertaining.

Breakfast with Pop Pop

Sunday, May 15, 2016
Well I guess it should actually be called "second breakfast with Pop Pop". Claire usually eats her food then decides that Pop Pop's looks even better and she needs a "taste test." On this morning, it was toast.

These 2=BFF's. Mom who?

Spud: 34 weeks

Thursday, May 12, 2016
So I missed a picture of Baby Girl at 33 weeks... but I have a good reason I promise. The gym by my office, where I usually go to get my lunch time workout, closed down for 3 months while they renovate. Why is this relevant you ask? Because that is where I took my belly picture every time! I totally had a routine down.

Now I just feel like a creeper taking photos of myself in the mirror at work. Gotta do what you gotta do though right?

Admittedly you can't see much with the coverup deal, by design!

Flowy dress still makes it hard to see the bump. Exactly the idea!

There she is!

Heartburn, heartburn, heartburn! Baby girl must be power lifting my stomach because the heartburn has been unreal.

Swollen feet!!! I'm sure there's a medical name for this but it is no fun.

I also have difficulty bending down to get things, so I ask Ross or Claire or Roma to help me out. Roma is really only helpful when I drop food and I have to be ok if I never see the food item again if she helps.
