These girls are getting pumped for "going to Mickey's clubhouse".

Every time I ask Paige if she is ready to meet Mickey she says. "And Minnie, and goofy, and Pluto, and daisy, and Donald, and chip n dale, and a little dinosaur." ummm ??? one of these things is not like the other? However, I'm sure Disney will find a way to meet her expectations. :)

Is 10 a big number or a small number?

10 is small when it's your age or the number of jelly beans you've eaten. But 10 is a big number when it's the years you've been married or the amount of pull-ups you can do... :)

4.22.2019 was a personal milestone kind of day; I did TEN consecutive pull-ups!!

10 was a BIG number on that day. No video proof, so you'll have to trust me.

Easter cuties

Claire and Paige got the eggs, counted them inside, then emptied them into a "candy bowl" without even asking for a taste test. Crazy right?

Rock Soup

Y'all the Boss Baby is obsessed with rocks, always sneaking them in her pockets everywhere we go. So when we started making "Bubbles Soup" with dish soap at the ranch, it quickly morphed into "Rock Soup".

This game lasted for at least an hour and I drank at least a glass of wine while supervising on the front porch in a rocker. :)

Ranch Projects

When we go to the ranch there is always a list of projects... always. Ross and Adam love to discuss the finer details of all said projects in the planning stages leading up to a trip. After all, the stores are far away and that would take away valuable time which could be applied to progress a multitude of other projects... and would cut into mandatory nap time :)

This trip it was work on the water well, which included Claire scaling a fence and getting a bit stuck. I also know that the stock tank pool conversion is the big next project in preparation for the hot summer.

Doberman

Here's a story from our [gorgeous day] run this afternoon...

A couple was on the sidewalk in front of us, walking towards us (Paige + Roma + me). However, way out in front of us they crossed the street and then just kind of stop and stare at us. I hear the guy tell his wife about how Roma is a Doberman, which is why it's so important they keep their distance.

Doberman? Roma? I almost said something... but I was too out of breath because the Boss Baby likes it when we run fast.

I tried to drive the side by side while Ross did some evening shooting, while the girls were also in tow... Let's just say we are going to have to work on our hunting teamwork & communication; the hogs live another day! :)

Night Vibes

The Cave

We had the privilege of visiting Texas' first wine storage cave at Frio Creek Vineyards. It's still under construction, but it's going to be amazing when it's all complete. The girls had a great time "exploring" the cave :)

The entrance is so impressive; it looks like it's right out of an Indiana Jones movie. Hope we get a chance to see it once construction is finished!

Frio Canyon Vineyard

We got to visit a beautiful winery located about an hour from our ranch, right on the Frio River.
