Pizza Pies

Some things never get old, even when we do. For example, homemade pizza night. I love watching the little ones make pizza with Ross :) The Volf family got the full experience a couple weeks ago.

Huebel Family Reunion

The Huebel Family Reunion 2019 at the lake house was a success! There was great turn out (next year Granna!), the kids fell asleep super fast on the way home, and there was no jet ski incidents when parking along the dock :)

Kinder

Claire is starting Kindergarten this Thursday. Well that seemingly came out of nowhere. :)

She wants to take the bus the first day, but Mom (+Dad) are thinking day 2. :)

Learning to Swim

Learning to swim is hard! Claire has been taking summer lessons for a few summers and it's just now starting to click for her. I think it's mainly because she wants to swim "like a mermaid" and touch the bottom :)

Huebels/Aldrich's just don't float very well... got to keep at it!

My blog has really become the place I share family pictures, but let's be honest, it's a whole lotta cute girls. Every now and then we have a departure for a stellar recipe, a favorite amazon find, a noteworthy movie or book, etc. Today, however, we have a whole new category... This category is "I have a Bad A Friend Doing Something Amazing." I am so proud of Stephanie McDaniel. She has turned a tragedy into a personal mission to honor a special boy and provide hope and support to others. Steph creates such positive energy and momentum for the Children's Heart Foundation efforts that this leadership role makes total sense. #proudfriendmoment :)

Galveston for 11 years

We went to Galveston for an overnight to celebrate our 11 year anniversary (August 9). Neither Ross or I had been to the Island for many years and it's easy to forget how accessible of a beach it really is when you live in Houston. We stayed at the San Luis and had a great view from our room.

Big thank you to Granna for spending quality time with the girls to enable this trip. I'm pretty sure C&P want us to do this type of trip again real soon... I mean a Ferris wheel, carousel, and a train ride is hard to beat.
