Frio River

Sunday, March 31, 2019
On our west Texas road trip we stopped to explore the banks of the Frio River.

It is just beautiful. We're going to need to float this river as a family when the girls get older!

You could see right to the bottom of the river.

It took some coaxing from sister before Paige would stick her hands in it.

Nap with Paige

Tuesday, March 26, 2019
Paige is learning how to nap in the same room with sister, but we're not there just yet. After a half hour of playing games while Claire was half asleep, we pulled C out of the room so that P could really focus. Paige finally fell asleep... in Claire's bed with a pair of Claire's underwear and pants on. umm ok Paige :)

Stock Tank Pool

Monday, March 25, 2019
Ross put us to work at the ranch this weekend. He has lofty goals to turn a (giant) old stock tank into a swimming pool. We think this stock tank used to provide water to the cattle when it was operating as a larger ranch many of hundreds (?) of years ago. I honestly wonder how many hours of pool research Ross has done in the past year.

We cleaned out the last bit of mucky muck water and debris and then started filling it up. Based on Ross's engineering calculations, it should only take ~100 days for the water well to fill the stock tank. :)

See that house back there?!

Here's the (almost) original picture of Claire sporting my aviators while at the ranch.

I had to play with some other edit options on this picture because it has some strong vibes :). Which is your favorite?

Natalie's Baby Shower

Sunday, March 17, 2019
It was a beautiful, sunny day for a baby shower!  I helped throw a shower for my dear friend Natalie, who is due April 24th, just a few short weeks away. People showed up from near and far to support Natalie and Baby Carolina (pronounced Caro-lena). I hope that little one could feel the love today!

The Decor: Coral pink and turquoise

The Sister: Bay. I can only hope that Claire will be the kind of big sister that Bay is :)

Buddies: We've known each other since we were freshmen at UT... 17 years!

The Hostesses (L to R): Me, Michelle, Natalie, Staci, Mayra

The Food: The party was in the early afternoon, so finger foods worked nicely

The Friends (L to R): Katie, Natalie, & Lauren
