Wood Choppers

We just got back from a great family trip to the ranch. It was our "redemption" trip since we all came down with the flu the last time we went over the holidays. We enjoyed some much needed family R&R.

Sound Bytes from Claire: "There's less rules at the ranch than at home. Maybe we should live here forever?"

Ross chopped down a tree and the girls were playing "queen of the stump" :)

Basketball

This first season of basketball has been a hoot. Basketball is a more complicated sport than I gave it credit for. I mean, try explaining it to a 3 or 5 year old! The League does a great job trying to bring it to a level that the littles can grasp. However, P is 3 and can't dribble or physically get the ball in the basket yet. But she has the biggest smile on her face throughout the whole thing.

Elena Visits

Baby Elena (and Noelle and Luis) came to visit last weekend. Paige is totally into baby dolls right now and probably contributed to her obsession with Baby Elena (aka Real Baby). P was super proud when she realized her and Elena had matching dolls :)

No training wheels

We are a "no training wheel" house as of last weekend! Paige must have been doing some bike riding in her dreams because it all came together, which hasn't happened in past handful of attempts. Love watching Daddy running alongside Paige also :)

Softball

First softball practice! Claire learned a little bit about batting, catching, throwing, and fielding on Sunday. There were so many helpful Coaches (aka Dads) there. One of them is also a lefty so he could really help Claire :)
