We had our big 36 week check-up today and I'm so thankful to report that things look normal!
The biggest reason they do a 36 week ultrasound is to check that baby has moved into the right "head down" position. We got to see a visual of Baby Girl which we hadn't seen since week 20, so it was quite reassuring. She is fairly cramped inside my belly now, without much room to move around. However, during the ultrasound she was moving all over the place and covering her face with her little hands so no pictures for us.
They told us Baby Girl was in the 60th percentile for size, the weight estimate being 6 lb 11oz. The tech told us that baby had a larger head and we said that was right on par- that's the "Huebel Head", lots of brain cells :)
The doctor reiterated that there's no way to know when baby might arrive. Since Claire came at 38 weeks and 5 days, I'm hoping Baby #2 makes it at least that long. But I don't really get a say in the matter! FYI a full term baby is considered >38 weeks.
We are feeling thankful that the check-up went well today and look forward to meeting this little girl!
