Winner Creak Hand Tram

On our hike a couple weeks ago, Noelle and I kept seeing signs that said "x miles to the hand tram." Do you know what a "hand tram" is? Well, we didn't either, which is why we had to hike to the end to find out.

Here's what we found...

Apparently the hand tram was out of commission during certain months; there is normally a basket which is suspended on these cables and you use the hand crank to move yourself across.

Do you see the raging river below? Umm, no thank you, I'll stay on this side. 

Pretty waterfall in the woods.
