Rocking Chair

Grampie, also known as Great Grampie, made Claire a very special rocking chair. Claire likes to move it into the family room to watch Elmo's World while she's eating her snack.

Claire will also point out the flowers painted on "Claire's Chair"

The rocking chair arrived with a very sweet note:

Dear Claire, I have made a rocking chair for you. I hope that you have lots of fun rocking in it. I am also sending you my love and my hope that you will have a long and happy life just like I have had! Love from your great grandfather, Richard.

Spud: 31 weeks

Baby girl weighs almost 4 lbs, however I can promise you I've gained more weight than that! Prior to 30 weeks you go to the OB every 4 weeks. At 30 weeks you start going to the doctor every 2 weeks and at 36 weeks that increases to weekly appointments. My hands are slightly swollen, but I'm still able to wear my rings. I have noticed increased heartburn and breathlessness. I mean I am really huffing and puffing after going up the stairs with my favorite 36 lb weight.. err toddler.

The weeks are melting away. I can (and can't) wait to meet her!

Prescott, AZ

Our Alaska friends, Charles and Kelley, got married this weekend in Prescott, AZ. Ross and I had never been to Phoenix or Prescott (about 2 hours north of Phoenix) and were impressed with the beautiful scenery and the overall "vibe". The weather was perfect for a wedding: blue skies and green grass and Kelley's dress looked gorgeous on her.

Yes, the pups, Skeeter and Fenway, were in the wedding too!

Delicious strawberry cake with chocolate cookie crumble icing. There was also a "oreo cake" ie a stack of cake flavored blonde oreos in the shape of a cake. Pics to come.

It was great to see so many friends that live far away- Kim and Reed.

Like I mentioned before, it was a great weekend filled with great company. Dad couldn't have been happier and was so thankful for each and every person who made the trip to celebrate with him.

Spud: 30 weeks

10 more weeks to go!!

Baby Girl is making me get up to go potty at least 3 times a night, but we'll let this slide in exchange for some future "naked baby, after bath snuggles" :)
